The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association is committed to advancing tourism and the community through hospitality. As a VIP Allied Member, SpinOut Guest Laundries had the opportunity to have a member of our team become a mentor to one of Central Florida's young people at Ivey lane Elementary School.

The mentorship program provides positive influences to young people in the community who come from a variety of different backgrounds, religions and situations, who may just need someone to open up to or just lend an ear.

A member of our team, Eddie, was able to spend time with a young person at Ivey Lane Elementary School for their second semester after the holiday break.

The brave men and women that defend our country often return home in need of different kinds of support. Whether it be from the dramatic conflicts they were facing abroad, or assistance putting together a life after the military. The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association is helping our Veterans in that process.

Recently, the CFHLA hosted a veterans only job fair in partnership with SunTrust Bank that featured eight lodging vendors that provided an opportunity exclusively for Veterans to explore hospitality job opportunities in Central Florida.

The job fair was about more than just employment opportunities. SunTrust Bank was also on hand to provide advice and educational materials relating to savings and investment strategies geared specifically for Veterans.

Underarm stains can appear yellow on white/light shirts. Sometimes they appear as crunchy areas in the underarm area or as darkened areas on darker fabrics.

You can find a variety of dryer balls on the market from PVC dryer balls that look like a little hedgehog to wool felted balls. Some people even swear by adding used tennis balls to each dryer load. Dryer balls are an alternative to adding fabric softeners to laundry as a way to keep clothes soft and static free. If you choose a 100 percent natural wool ball, you can avoid chemical substances and fragrances that can be harmful to sensitive skin.

Making your own wool dryer balls is simple and a great way to use up leftover 100 percent wool yarn. You can even recycle wool sweaters that are no longer wearable. Homemade dryer balls are also much less expensive to make than to purchase. Here's what you need to get started:

Most of us did away with fabric softeners long ago, but even though they're not on our shopping list anymore, doesn't mean we don't like our clothes to have a fresh hint of smell. Especially now that Spring time is finally here!

Sure our laundry soaps apply some smell, but no one really wants to smell like a fresh rain on a summer meadow. So instead, we decided make our own scented laundry booster! Here we go!

What You Need:

  • 1+ cups Baking Soda
  • Essential Oils or Fresh Herbs
  • Plastic or Glass Container
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Metal Sifter (optional)

In the world of resort property management and the continuing drive to completely satisfy every guest. Providing your guests with as many options of payment is one way to make certain you have a satisfied guest.

That goes for your guest laundry services as well.

Your guest laundry service probably started out by accepting coins and/or cash only. Although as you have expected and have probably been asked, guests are expecting to have more payment options than just lugging around a bunch of change in their pockets to pay for their self serve laundry.
